melekat pada hakikat dan keberadaan manusia sebagai mahluk Tuhan Yang Maha Esa.
Sejarah Perjuangan Hak Asasi Manusia
Hak
asasi manusia dahulu diperjuangkan untuk melawan kezaliman penguasa. Perjuangan
hak asasi manusia sudah dimulai sejak abad ke-13, tepatnya sejak
penandatanganan Magna Charta di Inggris oleh Raja John
Lockland pada tahun 1215. Para pakar Eropa sepakat bahwa piagam tersebut merupakan awal perjuangan hak asasi manusia.

Sejak
ditandatanganinya Magna Charta di Inggris, perkembangan perjuangan hak asasi
manusia selanjutnya dilakukan melalui Petition of Rights, Habeas Corpus Act,
Bill of Declaration des Droits de L’homme et du Citoyen.
Pada
tahun 1946, PBB membentuk Komisi Hak-Hak Asasi Manusia. Komisi tersebut
berhasil merumuskan naskah pengakuan hak-hak asasi manusia yang dikenal dengan
Deklarasi HAM (Universal Declaration of Human Rights). Melaui sidangnya, naskah
ini diterima dan disetujui oleh PBB pada tanggal 10 desember 1948. Oleh karena
itu, setiap tanggal 10 desember diperingati sebagai hari hak asasi manusia.

In 1946, the United Nations established the Commission on Human Rights. The commission succeeded in formulating the manuscript recognition of human rights known as the Declaration of Human Rights (Universal Declaration of Human Rights). Through the trial, the manuscript is accepted and approved by the United Nations on 10 December 1948. Therefore, every 10th of December is celebrated as the day of human rights.
